When a bronze marine pump makes sense

Bronze marine pumps are commonly considered where a strong metal pump body is preferred for demanding onboard pump installations. They may be used in transfer, circulation or service-water setups depending on the model, flow requirements and system layout. Before choosing a pump, check the required voltage, inlet and outlet size, mounting position and whether the system needs self-priming, continuous duty or intermittent use.

Installation checks before buying

A pump replacement should be matched to the existing plumbing as well as the electrical supply. Check hose tails, thread connections, wiring access, fuse requirements and service clearances.
